Family style home cooking of top notch quality at reasonable prices are just two reasons to take a drive and stop to eat. The pies are out of this world. Weight staff get an A+ for friendliness. Portions are large and on many items they offer half portions.Great variety of meals featuring fish dinners local to the region.Only drawback would be the salad bar. Perhaps not many locals choose that option. For vegetarians or veggie loving folks there are very few items on bar.Yet, this is one of our favorite cafes in S W. Michigan. A close proximity to lakes, state forests and preserves make it a good place to fuel up for a hike or chow down after a full day if swimming, or kyaking on one of the many lakes in the area.

Excellent food and service

This place has the best food! Handmade pies, gigantic burgers, fresh salad bar, and decent prices. Definitely go here! I've been multiple times and have never been disappointed!

Comfort food. Good family place. I remember many versions of this place.

My wife and I eat all over mi. Our favorite is Northern Exposure in Baldwin mi. Our least favorite is between Richie in hastings and Grove street cafe in Delton. This is our date out.The food is pretty good but the service could be much better. We go on Sunday morning's. The last 2 time's I ordered it came back wrong! I go out and pay for the food and service, so when I don't get it I'm wondering why go out at all! The last 2 time's I ordered county fryed stake, both times with onion and mushrooms. Both times no onion or mushrooms! But got changed for them! I tried to get there attention, I waited for the waitress to ask how it was so I could get them added, but it didn't happen! So I expected them to drop the price a little bit when I didn't eat it and just sat there getting cold, but they didn't. I still tipped $5 which was more than I should have under the circumstance. I'm not sure that I will go back, but maybe I'll use the 3 strike rule.

Not bad food. Gets a 4 in Delton, 2 in Kalamazoo.

The food was excellent and I highly recommend the goofy potatoes. I got the half order and still had leftovers for 2 days!

I absolutely LOVE Grove Street. My husband and I brought our 3 children to eat dinner. I got my favorite, goofy potatoes..mmm...always so delicious. Right as we were about to ask for or receipt our waitress had told us that the nice couple that was sitting across from us paid for our entire dinner, tip and all. How amazing is that? I got tears in my eyes. As we left we thanked the waitress and asked her if she sees that couple again to thank them for us. She said unfortunately she doesn't think she will, they were from out of town. I wish I could have thanked them myself. Amazing people right there! We did tip the waitress ourselves too, just because she also was so amazing as well. She kept saying we didn't need to because the sweet couple did for us but she deserved it and we felt like paying forward after they did for us. Amazing experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great food and service, cakes and pies are top shelf, so good, and the ayce fish is super good, wish they were open later.

Food was fixed the way I wanted it. Service was good, prices were good.

The Grove Street Cafe is a lovely place to eat... there were seven of us...our server was outstanding, very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu... I had the Reuben on rye and it was absolutely wonderful... also had the one trip to the salad bar and it really hit the spot !! I would go out of my way to go back!!! 😘

Great breakfast! Great service! Food was delicious and hot.... A rare thing at most places these days. We will definitely come back again.

Food and staff were great. The building has lots of character. Prices are reasonable for the area. I recommend the Irish omelets.

Always a good experience!!! It's my parents favorite restaurant since they moved to Hastings. None of us mind the 17 mile drive because the food is always good and the waitress we seem to always get ( wish I knew her name ) is efficient and fun. Cozy and friendly place!!

The best family restaurant in Delton! Clean, friendly wait staff, good American cuisine and yummy desserts. You can order a beer or cocktail there too!

Nikki the server is awesome! We have dined here several times and always had good service but this was fantastic! I wanted her to sit down and dine WITH us. Very friendly and timely in every way. Can't say enough good things about her and the cafe in general. We'll be back hoping she will be working that day!

Food is really good, waitress is super nice, service is kinda slow. I've only been there for breakfast. They have lots of homemade goods. Me and other preschool moms go once a week to hang out and chill.

Amazing food! One of my favorite places to eat breakfast! The food is literally to die for! The inside of the building is so beautiful and cozy! The staff is decent, and the prices are pretty reasonable for what you get.

Family restaurant with good food

Excellent food - gets so busy staff can be overwhelmed sometimes. Just get a drink refill and the goodness will be out of the kitchen soon. Just keep in mind it's not a place for fast in and out and you'll be happy.

Friendly service and home made food. I had the hot beef sandwich on homemade bread it was also made with fresh homemade roast beef. My wife had a turkey dinner it was homemade roast turkey. Both were excellent.

There is nothing special about the food here. Typical diner food at a cheap price
